“I love you for in my life, You are a friend of mine,
And when my life is over, Remember when we were together
We were alone, and I was signing this song for you”
-Leon Russell
On Sunday, January 26, 2025, we lost and amazing husband, father, brother, friend, and business owner, Barry Michael Flamm. Born December 11, 1963, Barry lived every day with a positive energy rooted in LOVE and a genuine care for every person he encountered. To be introduced to Barry meant you made a new friend and someone who treated you like a best friend. Mostly, Barry LOVED his wife Colleen and their three boys. Barry’s mission in life centered around ensuring that he always set the stage of life in a way that brought his family joy, happiness and love. Everyone who was blessed with knowing this larger-than-life amazing man will miss him dearly. Barry often said he lived a quad VIP life! Barry was full of humor, and he would constantly remind those around him of his “NAA” (natural athletic ability) as well as his potential to be a professional at just about any activity he engaged in. He always pushed the boundaries of fun. His skiing prowess earned him the self-proclaimed names: “Cliff Jumping Barry” and “Johnny M”. Barry loved mountain biking and looked forward to racing the Chequamegon 40mi in Sept with his boys. He loved to be at his cabin on Leech Lake with friends and family to jet ski, water ski or enjoy a sunset wine cruise and fire at the end of the day. He loved to spend his free time hitting the slopes skiing, smoking great cigars, playing golf or just hanging out in his man cave with his sons and his best friends. 13 years ago, Barry started the family business named Urban Tails Pet supply in Uptown Minneapolis. Urban Tails and his work family meant the world to Barry and many of his customers became his lifelong friends.
